There are 12million Entertainment industry workers in the US that have be effected by the recent Pandemic. Las Vegas, being the entertainment capital of the US, has seen some of the largest economic injury. Entertainment workers in Las Vegas are facing extremely hard times; most are laid off till further notice and new layoffs are being announced weekly. The career to which we have dedicated our lives is simply gone. The month of March marked the last time many had a paying gig. With social distancing regulations, entertainment will be one of the last industries to come back in a meaningful way. While we must remain hopeful that our industry will come back one day, we must fight now to stay afloat and support each other in these trying times. Together, we can illuminate the darkness, spreading hope needed by so many.
With your donation to the Grant Program, entertainment professionals will start to receive the help they need to weather this storm. Backstage Hope Project, Inc is dedicated to providing direct assistance via:
• Food and Sanitizer Distribution events in the greater Las Vegas Area
• Scholarship fund to help entertainers and techs in immediate, dire need
• Education, training and awareness for the industry to help bring us back in a safe way for Talent, Techs and you the Audience
Backstage Hope Project, Inc was founded by Entertainment techs that are dedicated to helping our colleagues in the industry during these unprecedented times now and in the future.
